On behalf of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (APALSA) at the University of Pennsylvania, I am pleased to invite you to the 11th Annual Penn APALSA Conference, New Directions: Exploring the Future of Asian-American Progress. The conference will take place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on February 4, 2012. Each year, Penn APALSA hosts a conference that is a meeting ground for bright law students, experienced practitioners, and distinguished speakers from across the nation. Last year, we dedicated our 10th Annual Conference to a celebration of the achievements of the Asian-American community and welcomed 240 students to the University of Pennsylvania Law School to hear from over twenty speakers, including Judge Edmond Chang of the Northern District of Illinois and James C. Ho, the former Solicitor General of Texas.
This year, Penn APALSA is proud to make the focal point of our 11th Annual Conference the momentum being built by Asian-American innovators, as exemplified by an increasing number of individuals forming inventive companies and rising to appointed positions in the judiciary and the Cabinet. We will also explore new developments and potential areas of growth within the community.
Please check back in the coming weeks as we continue to add more information about the Conference to this site.
I look forward to welcoming you to Philadelphia in February!
Best regards,
Le-Anh Bui
